Podium Shoes for the Pro’s
Milan-San Remo will kick off European Spring classics this very weekend. If you’re already tired of seeing Mark Cavendish get all the kisses from the podium girls you may have to wait a while longer because the ProTour season is in full effect. In just a few more weeks Paris-Roubaix will be upon us but between here, there and the Amstel Gold Race the ultra-fast Pro’s will be making regular trips to the podium. One of the post-victory rituals between autographs and doping control is to kick off those racing dogs and slip into something more comfortable. It’s not as glamourous as I may make it out to be, but it’s an interesting peek into some of these guy’s closets.
Let’s take a preview and guess what the Pro’s might be wearing this season… The DMT Dragon casual still is sporty enough to be on the bike, but it has a soft outsole and no inserts for cleats.
Specialized has a relaxed looker that comes in either black, white and brown.
These Nalini “Logho” shoes might take the cake.
